Online marketing strategist

Started out as a reporter at a small town paper, went on to study literature and writing, first in the Vilnius University, then in the University of Illinois at Chicago, just to find myself working as an online marketing strategist later on.
When you connect the dots, my path does not seem unexpected or odd. Marketing, as much as good prose is all about telling a story. Brilliant work of fiction always begins with a great idea and so does an efficient marketing plan. Plug in all the online tools we have nowadays, and that story can be blasted out to thousands, even millions of people on daily basis.
It is truly amazing to see how many companies spend tens of thousands of dollars on marketing without carefully crafting their message and selecting the right tools. My job is to help small and medium businesses to re-brand themselves, articulate their message, transmit it online and monitor the results.
I am also open to speaking engagements and will be glad to cover variety of topics, pertinent to social media, dilemmas of print media, online marketing strategies and more.

I got involved with the press while still attending high school. Together with like-minded peers we created a school paper that received national-level recognition. Always a person with diverse interests, I have studied sociology, international relations and languages, finally settling down for my high school passion–journalism. Currently I am a Chicago correspondent and a regular columnist for the Lithuanian national daily Lietuvos rytas (www.lrytas.lt).
As media expert at Intelligent Clout I primarily deal with business executives. Our meetings are a lot like media interviews: I present them with the questions; they give me their best answers. Together we work towards a common goal—sorting out through ups and downs of their company and selecting what ideas should become a part of their branding, marketing campaign or simply a basis for a great press release.
The biggest compliment is to hear an executive say he has learned a lot new about his own company while being interviewed by me. This is the best indicator we are about to launch a great publicity campaign for the company or a product.

Get up in the morning and write a press release. Have some lunch and then write another one. Struck by an afternoon slump? Power up your computer, have a cup of coffee and type away a press release. Before you leave your office, make sure you have written one more press release.
Do you think you can tell what my credo is? Surprise: “Get up in the morning and write a press release!”
My job at Intelligent Clout is to make sure all the press releases that our clients request are written well, on time, and sent out to the people who actually are going to read them. I also manage content creation for websites and blogs.
